Onshore Vacancies:   ASSISTANT RIG MANAGER

  • Awilco Drilling are currently looking for an Assistant Rig Manager to join our team based in Westhill, Aberdeen. 

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to : 

    • Work alongside the Rig Manager to establish and maintain a strong working relationship with management, peers, operations group and other companies;
    • Assist with the safe and efficient operation of the offshore MODU;
    • Support  the daily operation of the offshore MODU, providing resources, information and advice;
    • Support and promote the Company’s behavioural safety processes and maintain Company standards;
    • Ensure that the MODU complies with class, flag and local legislation;
    • Supervise all activities related to the MODU, coordinate and supply support as required by the Rig Manager for operational needs/operator requests;
    • Participate in the preparation of the annual budgets for the MODU and ensure that operating expenses are kept in line with the approved budgets;
    • Ensure that the documentation is kept up to date for the MODU;
    • Ensure adequate levels of inventory are maintained to prevent any unnecessary downtime;
    • Review all operational and technical reports to and from the MODU and ensure their distribution to the relevant functions;
    • At least 8-10 years in a senior drilling / operational position with experience of rig operations at a senior offshore level;
